New reports have just confirmed that Lil Kesh has refused to
renew label with Olamide’s YBNL. According entertainment site Naija Loaded, the
‘Ibile’ rapper’s contract expired two weeks ago but he refuses to have it
renewed; Kesh has reportedly made up his mind about leaving YBNL by the end of
this month and will be floating his own label named after his album, YAGI.
This was confirmed to the entertainment site, and the
sources close to both parties add that Olamide has also refused to push for the
shooting of any of the tracks off Lil Kesh’s album.
Recall that Olamide
brutally defended Kesh and stood up for him at the last Headies Awards, leading
to an all out war between him and Mavin boss Don Jazzy.
It is unclear what went wrong in the YBNL camp. In 2015,
Olamide tweeted that none of his frontline artiste would be leaving his label.
“Saying Kesh or Viktoh or any1 else gone leave me is kinda shitty,” he said,
adding, “I want ds niggas to be great .. Not to be slaves or dependent.”
Well, I'll be updating you guyz as the story unfolds....
