The club's first
top-flight championship in their 132-year history was sealed following
Tottenham's 2-2 draw with Chelsea on Monday night, meaning they have an
unassailable seven-point lead at the top of the table with two games left to
play.
The league table as it stands
Claudio Ranieri's side
missed the chance to claim the trophy on Sunday afternoon when they could only
draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford - but they needed to wait just over
24 hours for their title glory to be sealed.
The title race looked
certain to continue until next weekend as Spurs cruised into a 2-0 half-time
lead thanks to goals from Kane and Son.
Scene from the clash between Chelsea and Spurs tonight
But Hazard, who has
endured a tough season in general, really improved Chelsea when he came on and,
after Cahill had pulled one back, the Belgian produced a brilliant finish with
seven minutes left to hand Leicester the title. Last year he scored the goal which
won Chelsea the title, this year he has scored the goal which wins it for
Leicester.
Congrats to the champions...
