According to Daily Post, former QPR and Tottenham Hotspur manager, Harry Redknapp, is set to
become the new head coach of the Super Eagles, according to a report in the
Daily Star.
Currently, Salisu Yusuf is the interim coach of the Nigerian national
team and will take charge of the two upcoming friendly matches against Mali and
Luxembourg.
Yusuf stepped in after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), decided
not to continue with Samson Siasia, who was given the job on a temporary basis
following Sunday Oliseh’s shock resignation in February this year.
Daily Star claims that Redknapp, who was once tipped to become England
coach, will now take the job on a permanent basis.
69-year-old Redknapp recently ended a two-match deal with Jordan’s
national team.
